Itinerary

6:00 AM – Departure from Nairobi

• Pickup from Nairobi and drive along the scenic Rift Valley escarpment with a stop at the viewpoint for photos.

8:00 AM – Arrival at Mt. Longonot National Park

• Registration at the park gate and briefing by our professional guide.

8:30 AM – Start the Hike

• Begin the ascent through the steep and dusty terrain, passing through acacia woodlands and rugged volcanic rocks.
• The trail to the crater rim is about 3.1km but is steep and physically demanding.

10:30 AM – Reach the Crater Rim (2,776m)

• Take a rest and enjoy stunning views of the crater and surrounding Rift Valley.
• Optional: For the adventurous, you can hike around the 7.2km crater rim (takes about 2-3 hours).

1:00 PM – Descent to the Base

• Enjoy the breathtaking views while descending back to the park gate.
• The descent takes approximately 1 hour.

2:00 PM – Lunch & Relaxation

• Enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a selected restaurant near Lake Naivasha.
• Optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha (additional cost).

4:00 PM – Drive Back to Nairobi

• Relax and enjoy the scenic drive back to the city.

6:30 PM – Arrival in Nairobi
